Enric Madriguera is director of Guitar Studies and Professor of Aesthetic Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a cofounder and artistic director for the Texas Guitar Competition and Festival, and the Guitar Series at UTD. He also developed The Collegiate Competition and Festival, a summer festival at Eastfield College. He is a past advisory chair for the Dallas Classic Guitar Society and a current Advisory member to the Allegro Guitar Society.

Enric travels annually to festivals and performances in the Americas and Europe. His recording “Old World/New World” has been well received by the music press at home and abroad. Classical Guitar International, of London, likes Madriguera’s “passionate playing” of Spanish and Latin American Music. The American Record Guide states that the gold CD is “….well paced and presented with clever programming.” Gitarre und Laute states that the Enric’s playing on the CD is “eloquent.” In live performance Wayne Lee Gay, music critic of the Ft. Worth Star Telegram described Madriguera’s performance in the Ft. Worth Guitar Society’s Tribute to Segovia as one which “….widened the musical range of the evening with lute pieces from the Italian Renaissance.”

Enric is married to Sabine Rabe who hails from Berlin/ Germany. She is a classical guitarist and Director of Guitar Studies at Collin College. Recent performances of Enric as a solist or chamber duo with Sabine, or with soprano Kathryn Evans, include performances at international festivals in Rust/Austria, Brno/Czech Republic, Guanajauto/ Mexico, and Palencia/ Spain.
